Earlier this month I was fortunate to hear and meet Deepak Chopra. On February 9, 2011, Deepak Chopra spoke about his new book, The Soul of Leadership - Unlocking Your Potential for Greatness. The presentation was held on the Kellogg Graduate School Campus in Chicago. I did purchase the book following the presentation, where I was fortunate to briefly speak with Deepak.
I found Deepak to be soft spoken, very intelligent, articulate, humble and a private person at the same time. He is one of the best true communicators I have every had the honor of listening too. There is no pretense or showmanship. Deepak is truely Deepak. Something that more of the"thought" leaders could learn from in the current fast paced world of marketing, branding and promotion.
March is my birthday month. I am going to commit reading The Soul of Leadership this month as a birthday present to myself. I will share my insights from the book with you.
I started re-reading The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success by Deepak Chopra. I wanted to leave you a quote from the book today, page 34:
My wish for all of you today and this week, is that you get a great job lead, phone call, interview appointment and job offer. Have a wonderfully abundant day in you job search!
God Bless,
Eleanor

This week we got hit with 23 inches of snow in the great Chicago area on February 2, 2011. They are calling it the Blizzard of 2011. It is the 3rd worst snow storm on record for Chicago.
JOB SEARCH ADVICE: Go out and get rid of the frustration from your job search. Do some small physical work outside. (Speak to your doctor first) If you were one of the lucky ones to receive snow this week, go outside and shovel some snow!
JOB SEARCH ACTION PLAN: Go out and clean some of the snow up! I did have the walk and my husband did the other half of the walk and driveway. In doing a visual project like this you can feel in control of some small part of your life, while everything else at times feels like it is up for grabs.
You will feel the satisfaction of completely a project well done, from start to finish. And you were in control of the situation not someone else.
Then some in the house and grab a cup of hot chocolate or what ever your warm drink of choice is!
Have a great week,
