Job Search Tips: Colin Powell Success Tips to use in your Job Search
Colin Powell is someone who I have had the pleasure of "meeting' twice. To me he represents commitment, discipline, persistence, dedication, integrity, and appears to be a great mentor. These are all traits that make a great successful executive and business person. One way to further your own executive success is to study people you admire.
Now you can study them on www.YouTube.com In addition you can go to the library and take out their autobiography and audio tapes. Study the best during you executive search to become one of the best! Here is another great video clip from Colin Powell on the definition of good corporate leadership.
The clip is just shy of 4 minutes. As usual he is sharing some great common sense advice. Enjoy and share this with your friends and peers, Eleanor
Also make sure you download your copy of "My Thirteen Rules" by Colin Powell.

I had the privilege to listen to Colin again in person in July at the Union Club of Chicago through Kellogg. He was sharing some of his insights from his experience in life that he also shares in his new book. I always find him to be a down to earth common sense type of guy.
The "Thirteen Rules" first appeared in Parade in August of 1989. For more in-depth information on this list, I suggest you read It Worked For Me - In Life and Leadership by Colin Powell. This book was recently released in Spring of 2014. I will find my picture from the meeting and post that shortly.
