Executive Job Search Expert: Be Careful in Your Executive Job Search with Social Media and Your Information Your Share

Be careful what you post on line, and on your resume.
Make sure you are always in integrity with sharing professional and accurate information. If you do not present yourself with true integrity the bad or misrepresented information will come back to haunt you into days world some day.... [caption id="attachment_810" align="alignleft" width="300"]
Be Careful in Your Executive Job Search with Social Media[/caption]
The following is from a book from my Aunt Helena, "Three Minutes A Day" Volume 45, from Christophers.org.
This is a book that has daily 3 minute readings that are everyday inspirational with a religious quote at the end.
My reading for today is titled, "Invisible Do-Not-Hire Lists?" I am sharing the reading today with you directly from the book: It pays for job hunters to be aware of possible pitfalls so they don't inadvertently trip up their own job search. A Wall Street Journal story mentions some areas of concern.
Recruiters mainly want to weed out "liars, losers, and misfits." But an applicant might also be blacklisted for exaggerating qualifications or making silly jokes not seen as funny in an interview. Even if they don't admit it, hiring managers often keep unofficial tallies of undesirable applicants. There are also career dangers in posting inappropriate or inaccurate information on social media sites such as Facebook.
One recruiter herself in a way that would not align with the company's philosophy and ethics." On-line or in person, maintain your values and make a positive impression.
Righteous lips are the delight of a king, and he loves those who speak what is right (Proverbs 16::13)  Guide me in always being truthful and honorable, Paraclete.
Have a wonderful and great week-end recharging  for next week.
Warmly,
Eleanor

Executive Job Search Expert: Success of a Leader - Phil Jackson Style

As most of you know I live in the suburbs of Chicago. There was a lot excitement with the Chicago Bulls when I first moved here. Those were the days of Michael Jackson and Coach Phil Jackson.

Below you will find a great video about Phil Jackson's philosophy on Leadership. Enjoy!

Think about how you can apply some of the information from the video with your six figure executive job search. This information can also be applied with your management team and organization.

Have a wonderful month with your family!

1 | P a g e 34 in The NEW Rules of Job Search by Eleanor Anne Sweet Secrets to Keeping A Positive Headset,

Bonus Material “The Power of Optimism” I want to share with you an excerpt from the book. The Power of Optimism, written by the well-known author and therapist Alan Loy McGinnis.

The following are his 12 characteristics of optimists:

1. Optimists are seldom surprised by trouble.

2. Optimists do not look for partial solutions.

3. Optimists believe they have control over their futures and are not just victims of circumstances.

4. Optimists interrupt their negative trains of thought.

5. Optimists heighten their powers of appreciation.

6. Optimists use their imaginations to rehearse success.

7. Optimists are cheerful even when they cannot be happy.

8. Optimists believe they have an almost unlimited capacity for stretching.

9. Optimists build lots of love into their lives.

10. Optimists like to swap good news.

11. Optimists accept what cannot be changed.

12. And optimists usually allow for regular physical and mental renewal. ["]

Focus on positive, calm, thoughts during your executive job search.[]

All of us can become more positive an optimistic learning to develop these traits. McGinnis says: “These tough-minded optimists may be of average intelligence and looks, but they know how to keep themselves motivated, and they approach their problems with a can-do philosophy. They are experts at building a strong, positive esprit de corps in their family or on their team, and they emerge from tragedies somehow stronger and more attractive. “There is no doubt that this mind-set enables people to rise to the top of their fields.

Recent studies show that optimists excel in school, have better health, make more money, establish long and happy marriages, stay connected to their children, and perhaps even live longer”

(The Power of Optimism, P. 1) President Lincoln once said. “The pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity and the optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty.” Work every day to push back the pessimistic, self-defeating talk. Work to maintain a positive headset. The trick is to see the positive in as many situations as possible. Remember to remind yourself every morning about what you are grateful. Review at night what you are grateful for at the end of the day. 80% of life is a headset and between the ears. (90% if a job search is between the ears) Stay positive and optimistic!

Warmly,

Eleanor Anne Sweet

Executive Job Search Expert: Listen to the Whisper in Your Six Figure Executive Job Search - Take Action!

"]

Listen to Your Gut (Whisper) with Your Executive Search Ideas

I want to share with you something from Oprah Winfrey that she presented at a California women’s conference where she taught a profound lesson about spiritual guidance. She calls up the whisper… “God always first speaks to you in the whisper. So right now… the universe is whispering to you about your job… is whispering about your children… is whispering to you about your relationship.

If I were you, I take it in the whisper. Because after the whisper, you get a little thump on your head… A thump on the head is a message, trying to get through to you. If you don't pay attention to that, you end up in a big old problem. That's a brick falling upside your head because you didn't hear it in the whisper. And if you don't pay attention to the brick then you get a whole wall of bricks falling down.

Now you don't have a problem, you've got a crisis. And if you don't pay attention to the brick wall falling… the whole house caves in and you’re in a full blown disaster. So I try to do is get it in the whisper. Get it in the whisper. Your life is whispering to you right now. What is it saying? We all need to slow down and listen to the whisper in our heads. Don’t listen to the critical whispers, listen to the new “clean ideas” that you come across during the day. Take action on the whispers that you hear for 2-3 days.

Those are the true whispers in your heart that you need to take action on. The sooner you take action, the sooner you will create positive results in your life and your job search. If you wait, you could “miss the boat”. “Those that hesitate are lost”. You are not lost, everyday part of the path is being shown to you. Slow down and learn to know it when you see it. Believe it, embrace it and take action.

The only way to improved results is by taking action. The risk of taking action certainly out ways not taking action. Remember that I am a firm believe that you cannot win the lottery unless you buy a ticket. The same is true of your six figure executive job search. An example is refreshing all you postings of your resume on the various web sites, and see the activity increase in your executive search online. I wish the best for all of you in your lives and in your six figure executive job search this week.

Blessings,

Eleanor
